Operating under the handle Future Boy, ddf makes music in Quebec. “A Maze of Death”, from which his contribution comes, is a wonderfully catchy harmonicoramic roboalbum. I didn’t know of the Philip K. Dick connection when I was receiving submissions, which is probably for the best: if I had, I might have included The Importance of Good Leadership twice on general principle.

This is a track from an album based on Philip K. Dick's novel "A Maze of Death." It also doubles as an oblique political statement. Enjoy.
I’m afraid of the things that live beyond these walls
They could cast spells or they might be mind readers
They could come at any second to destroy us all
So I think we should elect a leader
We won’t be safe
Until we find the right man for the job
And if we wait
we’ll turn into a disorderly mob (oh oh oh)
They’ll pick us off one by one
We won’t escape if we run
That’s why we’ve got to act fast
If we want to last
We can vote for each other in a democratic way
But I think that we need to be cautious
If we find that we don’t like the things he has to say
We’ll kick him out and give a new guy the office
It’s dangerous
To be helpless and alone right now
But even worse
Stuck with an idiot to whom you bow down (oh bow down)
Let’s vote before it’s too late
Then when they come to seal our fate
We’ll be prepared for the hunt
With our leader out in front
