Nov 27 2006 — It’s shipping time!
These things are going out! Rock!
I have mailers! I’ve got postage! I’ve got mail-merged address labels! And, most importantly, I’ve got three boxes full of pre-orders ready to take to the post office as soon as I get off work this afternoon, and more to come.
So now I need to scour the site for the phrase “pre-order” and get rid of that “pre-” part.

As a music education student and lover of all types of music, I am totally excited about this whole damn project. Kudos to all involved; I hope to be receiving my music soon.

Got mine today, too! I panicked when my CD player refused to play it–first one it’s ever refused to play–but my Mac plays it fine. Works in the car, too. Thanks, cortex et al. for all the hard work.

Congratulations guys, this is awesome. I volunteer with the Mockingbird Foundation, and am excited and honored that you’re working with us toward reaching children through music. Mockingbird was founded through a similar online community effort, where we wanted to dedicate any profits from a group-written book to youth music education. We remain an all volunteer organization with no paid staff, which has allowed us to raise and give away over $500,000 in grants of $5000 or less to fund many many inspiring programs and projects.
The CDs look great! I’m off to buy one now.

Got the album last week. Bought it out of sisterly love but am blown away by how excellent every selection is. I can’t stop listening to it! The artists on this album have lifted my spirits countless times over the last few days with their music. When’s volume 2 coming out? I can’t wait!
